If you have been involved in the mlm wireless niche for a while, you know how volatile and insane it can be. It is very confusing and hard to pick the right company to work with. This niche has been rife with outrageous claims, broken promises, litigation, and shady characters with less than stellar reputations. How do you the opportunity seeker find a reputable mlm wireless opportunity to join and recommend to people you know.

The hard way is to do what I did. Join a company that took almost a year to deliver on their promises. Although, I can now say I feel vindicated for the support I gave Global Verge as they are now starting to get things truly rolling. They do have an uphill battle in front of them as they repair the damage to their reputation caused by unethical former vendors. It is my hope they get vindication not only in the legal system, but the court of public opinion as well.

After I chose to part ways with Global Verge (hey I am in this business to make money, not wait and see what happens), I joined Panther Mobile. That company also faced their challenges. Paying their distributors was one of them. Now to Harry Aston’s credit, he is making good on those promises as well.

While at Panther Mobile, I also joined Activation King Wireless. The owner of the company had daily phone calls that were fiery and passionate. He got you excited. He even made me a beta tester for his products in Canada (Products being a single sim card for Rogers Wireless here in Canada as none of the other products he promised to ship to me ever arrived). He has charisma, and people, including myself followed that charisma.

We followed it to DNA. Dna was free to join. But this individual also made great promises to the people of DNA like a $10 and $20 a month phone plans that was never delivered. Somehow he got away with it, making the management at DNA look corrupt in the process. After that gong show, I went and became a founding distributor with Global Pros and their branded cell phone service YooTalk.

Not too long ago, I was asked to join yet another company formed by the owner of Activation King by some of my downline members. I declined. Here’s why…

Reason number one. Global Pros is a startup and just launched. This isn’t ground floor, it is the genesis. The very beginning. Look at the history of mlm. The greatest fortunes has always gone to those that came in at the very beginning. It makes so much sense to stick around where you and the people that join you have such an enviable and advantageous position. Joining and staying with Global Pros right now is a no brainer.

Reason number two. Global Pros has the most phones available. Check it out for yourself. Go to YooTalk. Count all the phones available. There are 41 at my last count. More are being added.

What is the best part? These phones are all brand new, and factory unlocked. That means you will not be buying or selling someone else’s discarded crap that has been refurbished. All phones will work on compatible networks.

Reason number three. Global Pros has more phone plans than anyone else. Thirteen in total. The plans range from $10 for 200 minutes up to $60 a month for unlimited talk, text and data. With 41 phones and 13 plans you have a variety of products at every price point to fit the needs of all your customers. That means you can adapt a phone and a plan that fits your customer’s needs instead of asking your customer to adapt to a single phone and plan.

Reason number four. Global Pros has redundancy. Over the last year I can think of three occasions when having one service provider nearly put a company out of business. Global Verge has massive growth and momentum with the announcement of the Zer01 phone. When it failed to launch July 1, 2009 and over the summer, that momentum stopped. Growth stagnated. Membership dropped as people left to seek greener pastures. The was a short surge in November of 2009 when they joined forces with a new vendor. Phones came up on the Global Mobile One website. So did plans. Members like myself re-activated they autoships and started to enroll new members.

That was when the bottom dropped out. The vendor left. Taking the phones and plans with him. Leaving thousands of people without the ability to renew their plans. Tickets piled up. This vendor actually put people at risk posting these tickets revealing names, addresses, phone numbers and other personal information on his website in hopes of discrediting Global Verge.

It wasn’t pretty and the entire saga has pending litigation.

Finally, anyone who was a part of Wow Mobile this past Spring, discovered they were unable to use their phone. Apparently T-Mobile chose to end the vendor relationship it had with Wow Mobile. Distributors and their customers had no product to sell or renew. Phone numbers were locked out as all plans were cancelled. Last I heard this also has pending litigation.

At Global Pros, with several redundant plans with several carriers, you and your customers can rest assured that if for some reason your phone plan gets cancelled by the supporting carrier, there is another one you can fall back on.

Reason number five. No litigation. Think about it. Lawsuits are costly. Not only financially but also in focus. The owners of the company you are working with should be focusing on building their business, not defending themselves in court. It is no secret that Global Verge has decided to go after companies and individuals that have hurt their business in the past year. Their legal team has recently won a $44 million dollar judgement against Zer01 Mobile and Ben Pilani. They are also going after other startups Panther Mobile (that may have been settled) People Helping People, Activation King Wireless, and individuals such as Derrick Rogers, Harry Aston, Kevin Sipe and Chris Greco.

As I mentioned above Wow Mobile is also going after T-Mobile in the courts. It may be justified. Time will tell.

This is my real concern. Prior to the actual trial, the plaintiff can ask the courts to freeze the assets of the defendant to satisfy the potential judgment that may be awarded. Imagine having earned a sizable commission and bonus check. Four or five figures. You are finally going to get your credit card paid off instead of maxed out. The debts that have piled up are about to be erased. Maybe you are about to tell your boss to take a hike. Now imagine that your check has been frozen by the courts and may be awarded to a plaintiff to satisfy a judgement, if the company you are working with loses in court. That is why you want to ensure the company you are working with does not have pending litigation against it. That is also the reason why I am so proud of the fact that Global Pros and the seven officers do not have any pending litigation against them. This is also a huge reason I declined the request from some of my former downline members to switch to another startup run by Chris Greco and Kevin Sipe.

Reason number six. Global Pros Management. The owners/officers of Global Pros are all successful business owners in their own right as well as successful network marketers. Typically it takes a company 12-18 months to go from conception to launch. These men did it in ten weeks. I am very proud of what they have accomplished. The ethics and integrity of these men are second to none.

The reality is that in business, trust is everything. Once you betray someone’s trust, you have lost all chance of doing business with them. These men will tell you the truth not what you want to hear. There have been delays and disappointments, but they have always fully disclosed what is going on. Every Sunday they have a conference call for the top leaders to update us. There are open corporate calls for all distributors on Monday and Thursday evenings. Ask them any question you want. They are an open book of disclosure.

Reason number seven. Global Pros has an amazing compensation plan. Yes I saved the best for last. Several companies are using a 3×9 forced matrix. And yes it is an awesome pay plan. Global Pros is the only company to offer an expandable 3×10 matrix. Think about it. The tenth level is 59 049 strong. Fill up just five percent of this level in Global Pros you will earn over $8856.00 at the retail associate level. That is a lot of money being left on the table with the other companies. In addition to that, the Global Pros comp plan is expandable as you grow your business. Why is that important?

Let’s say as you grow your business, and fill up the first five levels, you find and sponsor a heavy hitter. Where would you want them? Your first level or your sixth. I know, a silly question with an obvious answer. You will earn far more residual income if you have them on your first level instead of your sixth. Global Pros will allow you to open up additional legs as you advance with company to place your future heavy hitters.

The other huge benefit is truly unlimited income. When you have a fixed 3×9 forced matrix, your income is capped when it is filled. Your network can grow further down, but it doesn’t mean you will get paid for it.

There you have it. seven great reason why I recommend Global Pros as the go to company in the wireless mlm niche. To learn more about Global Pros and the YooTalk opportunity go to YooTalk. You will see for yourself why I recommend YooTalk powered by Global Pros

*The above opinions are those of the author and may not be the opinions of Global Pros or the owners/officers of Global Pros.

The author, Paul Douglas does have a business relationship with Global Pros and the links provided to YooTalk goes to the authors replicated YooTalk website. The author may earn a commission and residual income on any purchases you make on his replicated website.

At least that is what thousands of blog articles, forum posts, press releases, and YouTube videos would have you believe. As someone who sat on the sidelines as an active e-associate since June 25th, 2009, I felt it was time to offer up my opinion.

The reason for this is simple. Almost all of the Global Verge scam articles on the net are old and outdated. The opinions of these authors are based on misinformation and conjecture that are being taken as fact, by people researching this very viable opportunity. As a result they are making mis-informed decisions.

You see dear reader, what most of these authors have failed to disclose is that they too are offering an opinion, not facts. And all to often, these resources found all over the internet are designed to do one thing. That is to position the author as an authority, so you will accept their recommendation, to their opportunity.

So why on earth would I endorse Global Verge?

Well as I stated I have been an e-associate since June 25th, 2008. The challenges this company faced and overcame would have buried lesser companies. Weaker executives would have cut and run. Let me explain.

In May of 2009, when it was announced, that Global Verge, would become the marketing arm of a new cell phone carrier, that provided unlimited voice, data, text service, for a flat rate of $79.95 a month, signups exploded. Literally. Almost overnight (well actually 2 months) around 40 000 people jumped on the bandwagon. I was one of them.

Needless to say, Global Verge was not prepared for such explosive growth. Neither were their merchant account providers for that matter. Merchant account providers (banks) can at any time freeze your accounts if you make them nervous in any way. They can hold funds for six months or more to protect themselves from charge backs due to disputed charges and refunds. Now forty thousand enrollments at $69.95 adds up to about 2.7-2.8 million dollars. The merchant account providers that Global Verge had at that time, were not prepared to take that risk.

In a letter to e-associates on January 7, 2010, Global Verge president, Ted Robbins had this to say about their merchant account experience.

Merchant Accounts – Because of your efforts we had an influx of about 40,000 new e-Associates in one 60 day time frame back in June. The merchant accounts that we had attained were not prepared to accept this rapid growth. Therefore, we had to engage new merchant account vendors. This was definitely not an easy task. We had to prove that we were credit worthy by preparing detailed reports and also showing the banks that our business model is unique and has great potential. All of this activity had to be taken care of while we were running the day to day business which was growing more hectic each day as the business continued to unexpectedly explode. It was a great day when we “pulled it off” and had the new merchants in place.

Now, put yourself in the shoes of Global Verge management. You just witnessed record breaking growth with no cash flow due to funds being frozen by your merchant account provider. Lesser people would have quit. I dare say I may have. But the tenacity and vision of the Global Verge founders was greater than this obstacle.

I would like to make one thing clear. Although I did join on June 25th, my credit card was not charged until the end of August when they had the new merchant accounts up and running. That means myself and thousands of other e-associates had no money into this. So much for Global Verge taking our money and disappearing as some online fear mongers would like to have you believe.

Now the cell phone service was yet another huge hurdle to overcome. In my opinion, there are two issues here.

One, the service, the initial cell phone vendor was to provide, was grossly oversold. Not by Global Verge or their vendor, but by over-eager e-associates in the field. These claims were not in compliance to Global Verge’s policies and procedures.

Secondly, the original vendor, was unable to keep to their committed dates for product launch. To my knowledge, I do not believe a working product has yet been launched by this vendor on a large scale.

Needless to say, the launch of the mobile product was delayed. After the initial failed launch, this company wanted to ensure that everything was ready before launching the mobile product. Of course thousands of e-associates joined because of this flagship product. Myself included.

Global Verge announced that e-associates that wanted to wait for the mobile product to launch before paying the membership fee could do so without penalty. Of course they didn’t get paid if they opted out, but they would not lose their position. I would not be surprised if someone who joined in June and secured their position, was able to do so without paying a penny until January 2010. Again, so much for Global Verge being a scam, that was going to rip you off.

In the same letter from Ted Robbins on January 7, this is what he had to say about the mobile product launch.

Mobile Product Launch – Throughout all of the highs and lows of our Mobile Product Launch over the last 6 months we continued to believe in our relationships in the Mobile Industry. This is what kept us moving forward. Even in the face of vendors not being able to follow through on committed dates, we were confident a solid solution would become available. And we were right. It all came to fruition because we worked to pull together a new alternative. I believe that everything happens for a reason. As you know we are now positioned with our new vendor. With this relationship we feel strongly that we have an even greater opportunity for our e-Associates. Our mobile launch not only entailed detailed contract negotiations with the appropriate vendors, but it also consisted of developing the product plans and the commission structure to go along with those plans.

At this point, the phone service had launched in the US. Yes, it was a gong show when 20 000 e-associates requested service all at once. Phones and Sim cards were back ordered. The relationship between Global Verge and their provisioning partner deteriated. The provisioning partner left, citing several reasons for his departure.

I could care less, personally, what happened. It is between Global Verge and this former partner. However, I have to wonder why he would air his grievances on a public forum, like MLM Help Desk. And why would he post the personal private information of e-associates, revealing names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses on his website, trying to discredit Global Verge? And then he jumped over to another wireless MLM company. This company revamped their compensation plan to mirror Global Verge’s pretty quick. Makes me wonder if that was the original idea. Then discredit Global Verge publicly to get e-associates to leave and join them.

Okay, that is strictly conjecture on my part. I have no proof. It is strictly a theory. But it makes sense doesn’t it?

Global Verge is bringing out wireless phones. Their other products and services are available. For the authors that wrote that this service will never arrive, all I can say is you will be proven wrong.

The final issue I wish to address are the reports that e-associates are not being paid. Yes, when credit card merchant accounts were frozen, and membership fees were not being collected, people were not paid. Once, they resolved the issue of collecting fees with new merchant account providers, people got paid. Even the e-associates that quit. And they were paid for the highest status the achieved for the months of June, July, and August. Even if their status dropped, as a result of their downline leaving because they were unwilling to weather the storm.

I believe the management of this company did this because they felt it was the right thing to do.

Any one of these issues would sink most companies, let alone all three. Yet Global Verge not only survived, but thrived. The mobile product has been soft launched. From my understanding, Global Verge sold 20 000 phones/activations in one month to e-associates. The free training program at GVUniversity.com has launched. The Global Talk Smart VoIP service has been launched in both the US and Canada and soft launching in Australia and South Africa. There is already a weekly VoIP training program implemented over the next five months for e-associates. E-associates are dining out with their restaurants.com gift certificates. Christmas shopping was easier and less expensive with the GV Savings Mall.

So, is Global Verge really a scam? No, Global Verge is a legitimate opportunity that will reward you proportionately for the effort you invest. In my opinion, the true scammers are the people that will try to get you to believe otherwise.

The above opinions are those of the author based on the interpretation of the information received from Global Verge. The above opinions are not necessarily those of Global Verge and Global Verge management.
