How many times do you need to set up a blog?

For this one, this is the third time.

Why?

The first blog got wiped out from a setting error I made. I could not access the login anymore. So I copied all the posts I made, wiped it out, reinstalled the Wordpress script, and started over.

Then, my previous host, changed their DNS servers. I did not receive the notification. It was my fault. The account with this host had my ISP email address on file and not the address I use. So even though notification of DNS address change was sent, I never discovered this until MLM Selection Secrets disappeared from the face of cyberspace.

This also happened with my other blog, Paul Douglas Recommends.

So what lesson did I learn from this?

Stay on top of your sites. Make sure that your host has your current contact info and valid email address.

The second lesson I learned. Use a known, reliable hosting service. There are thousands of hosting services out there. Many of them are all competing on one thing…price. The problem with that is that when prices get cut, so do the , and reliability.
