I am current and active e-associate with GV. Like you I too joined in June of 09 and experienced the same thing you did.

After a couple of months I decided to pull out since at the time I didn't see any progress. When GV announced that they were back on track and gave people the option to get in or sit on the fence, I opted to get back in because I didn't want to lose my position.

I believed in the leadership as they were keeping us informed and updated with everything that was going on. With that in mind I made the decision to ride it out. I have been riding this ship out for a few months now and will continue to do so.

One thing I know for sure is that it's either going to sink or sail. If it sinks, I'm out $40 a month for however long it takes. $40 will not make me or break me. I have lost a lot more on other opportunities and this wouldn't be the last time that would happen if it does sink. Now, if it sails, I sure wouldn't want to be the one looking on from the shore saying, "I could have been on that boat."

So, with no one forcing me or encouraging me to stay on board I continue to stay because it is my decision. All the negative that is written about GV is unfortunate and I do understand everyone that has those feelings. I would have had them too. But, since I am someone that doesn't jump into conclusions quickly, I rather ride it out with the hope that they (GV) will get it right and bring this wonderful opportunity to fruition than to be someone that will become bitter and start bashing a company that might come back and bite me in the ass.

Greetings Everyone!

Our decision to join GV, also cost us financially and was time wasted over a period of 9 months. Luckily, we were fortunate enough to escape without too many damages and in good time.

In our humble opinion, even IF GV could've succeeded in providing all they promised, we simply could not stay and continue to encourage others to do the same knowing the damages to come.

At the end of the day, we're proud to have made the right decision and saved ourselves and hopefully some others the heartache of losing more than the experience was worth.

Most all experiences allow each of us to learn lessons that hopefully we put to good positive use and move onward. It's saddening all the negative that came from this particular experience.

Fact is, we all should always find out as many facts possible before leaping into any one business with any one person who may or may not put principles and character before money.

Just because someone "says" they know how things are, in reality the push to put people into a company almost always
"drives the boat" so to speak but without a good captain - that boat can end up on the rocks if not steered properly with honesty and ethics.

Being excited over a new business should be a good thing but ...when any one person allows the excitement of another or even their own to make the choice for them - they allow for both mistakes and damages to occur.

People have a strong tendency in this industry to leave the facts (even when they know them) until later in the game and then worry about them. Sadly, most of the time when that happens, the damage is already done.

The strength of any one company comes from the dynamicity of it's leaders but also from the strengths and will of those more experienced to know when it's time to cut the rope and call it a day.

GV made promises they could not, did not and would not be able to keep. At the end of the day for most everyone (either still there or long gone) ...emotion ruled the day.

Only problem was when that happened, no more was achieved than when that day began and sadly alot of people were harmed in the process.

This experience allowed for many to see what damages can occur when good men and women sit idly by, the alarm sounds and they do or say nothing. Even worse, they continue to call it a "false alarm", do damage to others, lose credibility, good friends and hope of any healing.

Our hope and is that time, staying positive and moving forward can heal the harm and damages done to so many.

However, instead of being angry and beligerant with others - we personally chose to move forward having learned a great deal from the experience and we sincerely hope that others have also!

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

I have canceled my autoship with GlobalVerge. I thought I was a patient man but apparently GV's inability to produce has outlasted my meager funds to continue autoshipping. I am still in the loop but don't see being a recruiting force any time soon. I hope all involved the best. It had become too complicated in an already complicated life. I personally am going back to a previous communications company I represented. While you only get paid when you produce, the opportunity is free. The income is limited by my efforts; The American DREAM!

Gregory,I kinda didn't leave LightYear, but I am no longer affiliated with them. I was working my plan with LightYear and Broke one of my own rules. Which is, do not look at any opportunity until I am well beyond Financial freedom. I looked at Buzzerk (GV) and saw the forced matrix, $10 per customer(At the time, and started marketing for them before their launch. I neglected my LightYear business, and a few reps left for Buzz, (I did not recruit them) and others just dropped off. I worked hard to build where I was and was not ready to build for them again. The comp plan can be very good, but there are a few hoops to jump through to get the good payouts and a lot of customers and reps to attain. The comp plan was a pain to explain and semi complicated for people not in the industry. I like forced matrix plans. They are easy to explain and have some big payout's. They do have a cap on rep earnings, but 99% of MLM reps never earn that amount with any company. I look at that as a challenge for myself and my reps.

Gregory first of all, welcome to MLM Selection Secrets. Foe whatever it is worth, I am a regular at Troy's blog. However as the saga of Global Verge continue's to drag on and on, I will be updating this particular post in the near future.

Troy Dooley's latest on Global Verge can be found at http://www.mlmheldesk.com a non-biased third party approach to the network marketing industry. Look under the heading "Scam Alerts". Sam, why did you leave lightyear. I have some individuals looking at our company that are currently in lightyear and boasting of the great comp plan. From what I have seen the plan looks great but is very hard to achieve movement through the ranks. All the money is at the top, like corporate America. Please, shed some light for me.
